“Hey, we should try that bar down on the boardwalk. I hear it’s open all day,” Josh suggests. “Um, isn’t it a little early,” Jesses says, but Josh just shakes his head. “It’s noon somewhere.” They laugh and head out into the park.
They pass several other boys who are walking awkwardly like they are. Jesse groans each time he walks, having tied his tail down a little too tight. It’s not long before they reach the bar which is quite full for the late morning. The bar counter stretches around the entire perimeter of the large open room. Boys are sitting all along it, clanging their beer steins as helpful bartenders fill them up. Right at the entrance are large bins filled with empty beer steins that boys pick up as they enter. Jesse and Josh walk into the dimly lit room and follow the crowd.
They both grab a stein and make their way to the bar counter. Boys are pushing and shoving their way to the counter to get their mugs full. “Come down now boys, there’s plenty for all,” laughs one of the bartenders. Jesse pushes his way with Josh right behind him and they reach the counter. They join in with the thunderous clang of mugs as the bartenders rush up and down with hoses and large pitchers filling and spilling the beer.
Josh and Jesse fill their mugs and are forced out of the crowd. They toast each other and chug the beer down quickly. They both just stand there for a moment, feeling a little strange, but they quickly laugh and rush back into the crowd. They move slowly through the massive group but eventually reach the counter again. “Here, fill’em up,” Josh shouts as the bartender fills the mugs to over flowing.
Josh and Jesse chugged again, but this time something started to happen. Not just to them, but to all the boys. Jesse finished his beer first, with a quenching, “aaahh.” Josh then finished his, but his ‘aaahhh’ came out, “HAW HEE HAW.” Josh was horribly embarrassed, but Jesse just laughed. “ha ha ha. What are you a donkey? Haha HEE HAW.” Jesse dropped his beer stein as he put his hands to his mouth. Suddenly, many of the boys started to let out a small bray quickly followed by the reemergence of their tails. Jesse and Josh both groaned as they brayed again, “HEE HAW HEE HAW,” their tails ripping free of their bandages and ripping out of their pants.
