Jaffar proudly led his dog up to the registration table at the park. Raul was there snickering.
"Say, Jaffy, that's the best you could come up with? A mangy mutt like that will never beat Lucifer," Raul said haughtily.
"Well, I bet my dog can beat your dog," Jaffar replied as Aden growled at Raul.
"You do? Let's see if you're really serious, Jaffy. I will be Lucifer against your bitch, what's her name?"
"He's male, and it's A- Aladdin," he said remembering the name he's put on the registration, "And he's the most intelligent, best trained animal here."
"Aladdin? I'll call him Al." He reached down to pet Aden, saying, "Hi, Al, you're going to like being my dog."
Aden snapped at his hand, and he stepped back.
"Well, trained huh? I'll make sure he never tries to bite me again. And male or not, he'll be Lucifer's bitch. My dog's not too particular about what he ties to if you get my drift." He winked.
As he turned, Aden spoke, "Yeah, so you're his bitch and not his master."
Jaffar glared at Aden, he wasn't supposed to speak.
"What did you say, Jaffar?"
Jaffar answered, "Well, you finally got my name right. You heard what I said, so why should I repeat it."
"Right. You and your dog are going down, Jaffy. Believe it!"
A voice called over the microphone, "Will all contestants and their owners please line up by the red flag."
