Welcome to ToonWorld

Carrie the revolutionary?

added 15 years ago O

John turned away quickly, covering his eyes. Carrie, however, wasn't so quick with her reflexes, and her arms dropped limply to her sides as she swayed slightly, staring at the spinning spiral, her mouth slightly agape, her eyes mirroring the spiral she saw.

"Come closer," a voice commanded from the screen, "I have a present for you."

"Carrie," John said, "Turn that thing off!" His eyes were still covered, and he didn't know that Carrie was quite unable to follow his instructions. She took a couple halting steps forward until her face was nearly touching the screen.

"Good," said the voice again. "I am your master, I am your alpha, and now you will receive my gift!" Yellow lightning bolts of electricity shot out of the tv screen, shooting Carrie right in the eyes over and over again. Each time, her body spasmed, but she stood in front of the screen, still mesmerized, her body being filled by some unknown energy.

"Carrie!" John said, "Turn it off!" he uncovered his eyes, now seeing what he'd feared-that she hadn't looked away in time.

The voice spoke again, "You are now a werewolf, a member of the revolution!" John at first thought it was a joke-you couldn't hypnotize someone into being a werewolf, could you? But then he realized, this was Toonworld, and in cartoons, you could hypnotize someone to do or BE anything. Whatever this person, this Alpha was saying was now true for anyone he'd caught with this hypnosis telecast.

Once more, the voice spoke, "You will not question the revolution. You will not question any message received from me. You will transform whenever you hear the sound of a dog whistle, transforming back to your more mundane forms an hour later. You will watch this channel tomorrow at this time for further instruction."

The channel fuzzed out for a moment, and the news was back on. Carrie shook her head, as though trying to clear cobwebs out of it. John noticed that the anchorwoman seemed equally confused, and he saw her staring offscreen, obviously looking at her director. "Ummm.." she stammered, "We're...uhh..very sorry for that unscheduled interruption. TWNN would like to apologize for anyone...offended by that last segment. Now to Stephanie Mills, with the weather."
