Andy had completely forgotten that his parents had arranged for his 22 year old neighbor to stop by to look after the plants and pets, but for an extra 20 bucks, Justin hadn't forgotten. He used the key under the flower pot to enter the kitchen. He filled the watering can, and was making his rounds when he heard barking and howling downstairs. He burst through the door to find a couple of big hairy dogs in a mess of torn clothing. He liked dogs, but he hadn't seen these two before, and neither seemed to be wearing a collar.
"Come on boys, you're not supposed to be inside the house." He slipped off his belt and used it as a collar and lead on Andy, and slipped his arm in a headlock around Greg's neck. Then he led the pair to the kitchen door, and released them into the enclosed porch area. He scratched them both and said reassuring things.
He then got the pair of dogs each a bowl of water. He didn't know if the family had gotten more dogs and forgotten to tell him or if a couple strays might have gotten in if Andy had left the door open. He figured he'd call Andy's parents to check.
Andy and Greg had been startled when Justin had come into the room. He had said, "Quiet, boys, I'm a friend. Stay still, and everything will be fine."
It was weird his voice was hypnotically commanding. Justin's scent filled their noses and it was intoxicating. It formed an image in each dogman's brain - the image of Master. Master with a capital "m". Once out on the porch, Andy and Greg stared at each other.
"What just happened?" barked Greg.
Andy shrugged as best as his canine body could, and answered, "I think we just became Jusin's dogs?" He was both horrified and thrilled with the prospect.
"Oh, so you didn't get a couple of new dogs. No, nothing serious. I saw Andy's backpack by the door, but he's not here. I guess he must have left the door open for a few minutes while he changed, and the strays wandered in. I'll take care of them..."
