You stare at the rowdy boys shown on the screen. This is sure no cartoon version. The boys are very real looking, filthy, and are running half-clothes and even naked! A couple of the boys can be seen pissing in the background, and more than a few have bloody noses and black eyes from fights.
Pinnochio looks pretty much the way you expect, but Lampwick is rougher and dirtier than most of the others. Still, he and the wooden boy hit it off and go through adventures pretty much ilke those in the other versions, except that they lose clothing bit by bit. By the time they get to the pool hall, Lampwick is wearing only his stained underpants, which have a substantial bulge in front. He is also looking awfully hairy and homely - the begginings of becoming a donkey.
