"But what about these?" Josh yells, holding his tail and walking into Jesse's room.
"We'll just have to hide 'em," Jesse says, pulling on his khaki cargo shorts and stuffing his tail down the left leg.
"How's that hiding it?" Josh scoffs, "Butt-dick!" Despite the length of the shorts, the trademark donkey tassel can still be seen dangling behind Jesse's knee, and the bulk of his new appendage has created a long, obscene-looking bulge running all the way down to his thigh.
"Well I can hardly cut it off!" Josh snaps. "Now go find your shorts and get dressed, will ya?"
Scowling, Josh returns to his room, his hairy tail scraping across his briefs.
Buckling his belt, Jesse walks over to the window and peers outside. Then he stares.
On the lush patch of grass immediately in front of the cabin, a group of six boys has gathered. Like Josh and Jesse, they are all in their late teens, wearing T-shirts and and shorts. But unlike Josh and Jesse, there are no 'telltail' bulges. Their butts look completely normal...
Even so, there IS something odd about them... Each of the six guys is eyeing the grass beneath his feet with a strange, almost rapt expression...
"Josh, come here!" Jesse calls.
Having just buttoned up a pair of knee-length tennis shorts, Josh gives his now-confined tail a last tweak and joins Jesse at the window.
"What's up?"
"Look at this lot..." Jesse nods his head at lads who are gathered outside. "It's like they're in a trance or something..."
"Maybe they've just discovered THEY've got tails," Josh mutters.
Jesse shakes his head. "They haven't. Something else is going on..." Reaching down to tuck his tail behind his knee, he starts heading for the door. "Let's see what it is, yeah?"
"But..." Josh frowns uncertainly.
"I'm not staying here all day. Come on!"
Reluctantly Josh follows Jesse out the door. And as they step outside they see something bizarre in the extreme...
The guys that they saw through the window are now down on their hands and knees, munching away at the grass!
"What the hell are they doing?" Josh exclaims, staring down at the nearest guy, who's got the stalk of a dandelion sticking out of his lips.
"Maybe it's their idea of breakfast," Jesse laughs. "You stay with the three this side, and I'll go watch the others... Just stay off the grass, yeah? There's something weird about it."
"What d'you mean?" Josh asks, as Jesse jumps from the cabin steps to the gravel path three feet away.
"Or maybe it's them," Jesse muses. "Whatever, I know I gotta watch this..."
And as Josh, too, jumps onto the path, he moves down to the far left of the kneeling group, leaving Josh where he is, on their right. Fascinated, both boys then turn to look at the guys nearest them, watching what each is doing...
