Both Daniel and Jason attempted to make a break for it, but found themselves glued to the spot. The witch cackled. "Oh, come now," she said, "you didn't think I was just going to allow you to get away, did you?" She pulled out two small amulets from her ragged robes. "Now," she said, "let's see. One of these will turn you into a mythical creature, and one will turn you into an anthropomorphic animal. Preferences, boys?"
The two stared at her in terror, speechless. The witch shrugged. "Very well," she said, breaking into a horrid, toothy grin. "I'll pick for you." With that, she slipped an amulet over each boy's head.
Each saw the other shrink a bit, becoming slender and curvy, with a figure like a teenage girl's. They saw each other's hair grow out, falling to the tops of their necks. They both watched as their chests blossomed out, the flesh underneath their nipples expanding into two decent-sized female breasts. They observed each others' faces becoming delicate and feminine, and watched as their arms became delicate and slender, their legs becoming long and shapely. Then there was a sharp pain their privates, and they cried out in soft, high voices, realizing that they shared the fate they'd seen befall the other.
Suddenly the boys-turned-girls found themselves changing in other ways. Daniel felt a prickling sensation in her skin as orange tabby fur covered her body, a white splotch forming down the front of her body, bisecting her breasts at the nipple, her hair becoming the same soft white as her stripes. Her ears moved to the top of her head, becoming thin, triangular cat's ears. Her face reshaped itself into something midway between a girl's face and a cat's muzzle as her teeth became canines, her tongue becoming a little thinner and rougher. Pads formed on her palms and the undersides of her fingers as her fingernails became retractable claws - at the same time, her feet became cat's paws. The base of her spine extended into a tail, and it was over - Daniel was an anthropomorphic female cat.
Jason, meanwhile, had been undergoingan entirely different change. Soft gray feathers had poked their way through her skin, covering her entire lower body. Her arms had also become feathered, but they weren't really arms any more - they were rapidly reshaping into wings. Her hair had taken on a charcoal black color, and had grown down almost to her waist. Meanwhile, long tailfeathers had sprouted from the base of her spine, and her entire lower half had changed. It wasn't entirely correct to say that she had the lower half of a bird, as her reproductive organs were still mammalian, but otherwise, with the tailfeathers and the shortened legs ending in clawed bird's feet, it was pretty much correct. Jason had become a harpy.
The witch grinned that horrible grin of hers again as the two transformees stared at each other. "Here," she cackled. "Let me give you a better view!" With a quick gesture, the two girls were naked, but they were too stunned by this turn of events to take much notice or cover themselves. "Well, boys, or rather, girls," she said, "I think you need new names now that you're members of the fairer sex. I'll be calling you Danielle and Jessica, and you'll want to do the same unless you want theworld to know you used to be male. Those amulets won't come off until you've found a way off the island, and you can't return to your old forms with them on, so I suggest you get cracking. Have fun!"
With a flick of her wrist, she opened a portal, and the girls were drawn towards it...
