Nate lived in a two bedroom apartment with his roommate Sam. Nate was a young gay man, fairly good looking. He and Sam had met when Nate moved in to the apartment but Sam was kind of a bust of a roommate. Sam was a little heavy set straight white guy with a pimply face who never left his room and spent all day on the computer playing WarCraft. Nate liked Sam because he was a good guy and he wished he could do something to help him out.
Then one day Nate discovered this website called The One-Click a Day site.
"Tired of your skinny body? Your big nose? Want to be a bit taller? Maybe a different race? Want to try being a girl? Then this is the site for you! The One-Click a Day site lets you change just about anything about yourself or another person. The only catch is that you can only do one click a day. Just enter the name of the person you would like to change and pick your click and you're ready to go!"
Nate scoured the site, it really had options for just about anything you could think of. This site couldn't be real but just for shits and giggles he put Sam's name into the search field. He then clicked on "muscular" and hit "Save Profile".
A window popped up.
"Would you like subject to be aware or unaware of changes? Be warned that subject's entire personal history will change so that everyone including subject remembers him/her as always being this way if you click unaware. Only you will remember subject as being different unless the subject is you."
Nate clicked unaware and saved. Then he bookmarked the site and went to watch TV, forgetting about the site.
After a little while Nate heard Sam's doorknob jiggling. He laughed and said "Finally coming out of your cave?"
Sam stood in the doorway and Nate's jaw dropped. Gone was the chubby, overweight Sam. In his place stood a guy who looked exactly like Sam, only with a fit body, like a fitness model or a body builder wearing workout clothes. Sam cocked an eye at Nate.
"What're you talking about? I'm just heading to the gym like usual. You know, you could stand to get to the gym once in a while. I'll see you later."
Sam left, leaving Nate dumbfounded.
