You hear a howl; no it’s not a howl it’s someone greeting you.
“Why hello there!” says a young looking gentleman wearing some kind of black and white uniform that can only mean he works here or is in hiding from the fashion police.
“Huh?” you stammer, as your tongue strangely feels too big for your mouth. What was in that water and food you begin to wonder?
“Oh no need to explain at all! We know what its like. No, it’s no bother at all really. Just sit on the floor and relax 'till you begin to feel better.” The young man offers, seemly able to understand your whine as you try to talk to him. As he helps you out of your suddenly baggy clothes, your body sprouts thick black and white fur which is totally unnoticed by yourself, so befuddled are you at this point.
There is a slight discomfort with your nose and mouth then you can suddenly smell and take in air. Oh the smells! A scent you can not put a name on catches your interest that seems to be coming from a dog in the cage behind you. No, not a dog, your nose tells you its a female...a bitch. A malamute bitch, which gets your tail wagging as she is clearly watching you with interest as she leans against her cage door, nostrils quivering as she drinks in your scent and wags her tail.
“Yes just let it happen. Feels good right?” he says, smiling as he notices where your attention has wandered and dares rub behind your now furry and pointed ears sending you into a state of pure bliss, tail wagging behind you now even faster as your outer coat fills in around your body.
“Aidan! Bad dog!” a voice shouts just as you start to pad over to the friendly girl dog in the near by cage. A still-human part of you looks back to Aidan at the sound of the voice.
“Mistress! I can explain!” the young man whines...no he is not a man but an anthro malamute!
Huh? You blink then look again to see a four-legged, very normal malamute where the young man had been and the most beautiful woman you have ever seen standing beside him.
“Bad Aidan trying to be Coyote and thinking you could trick our guest and influence the breed!" She says looking at the dog who now has his tail tucked under himself and fawns at her feet whining softly, desperately trying to curry favor from this human.
“Sorry about that. Some of our dogs are a bit playful. And Aidan would have the whole kennel as malamutes and part of his sled team if I allowed it.” She says giving you a smile that quells any questions you had wanted to ask only moments ago.
“No problem ....Miss...” you trail off hoping this goddess made flesh will bless you with her name as you drool unnoticed by yourself.
“Circe. Just call me Circe my soon to be canine.” She replies, patting your head as you stand beside her with your clothes back on as if you had never had an encounter with Aidan just moments ago. The lady before you should have every bit of your attention a voice in your head tells you. And of course people do not turn into dogs so you just imagined Aidan or maybe it was a daydream perhaps?
“Now what would be a good name for you?” she asks aloud looking at a clipboard you only just now notice. Panting with your new puppy sized muzzle you do not even notice the change as the pant seems natural and surely the lady would notice if you looked any different right?
Aidan at a hand signal from his mistress slinks from her feet to a near by cage and lays down on the dog bed clearly looking like a dog who knows he did something wrong.
“Poor Aidan. He wanted more of his breed to play with so badly. But I think a malamute is just not you.” She says, stroking your head softly and causing you to narrow your eyes in pleasure, feeling a strong need to please this woman.
“Now what is the perfect breed for you boy?” she asks looking at you and offering you a bone shaped cookie which you lean forward to sniff as the seat of your pants rip and part to make way for your tail, which is totally unnoticed by yourself.
