The three huskies stood waiting for their pack leader's reaction. True, Katie didn't really like Naomi much at all, but she agreed the doe didn't look like she needed a intrusive examination right now. And all the others, perhaps it was just base dog instinct to follow the leader's example, dogs were known for nothing if not loyalty. Then again, that was why The Management had chose this form for The Staff wasn't it?
There were only four of them in the room right now total. More than enough to handle two humans: if this was just a simple Situation they needed to be put out. But this was The Management and The Research, Katie wondered if she was about to do something that would cost her her job. True her contract was air tight, this cause some of her paranoid images to creep up, if she'd end up being on the park's payroll in 'other' ways.
All the same she wasn't about to back down, true she knew she was it likely just the pack mentality, but for once, she didn't cringe at the idea.
The man from Management and the scientist from Research clearly weren't expecting a fight from the huskies themselves, though Naomi's sharp eyes caught the scientist reaching his hand into his waist coat for something. Naomi's muscles tensed, she arched foreword!
"Stop at once!"
And like a properly trained sled dog practically froze in mid-motion, the manager and scientist too stopped in the middle of their reaction at the sound of the intense voice.
"Miss J!" The manager gasped and stood at attention while the scientist took three steps back.
The huskies all turned to see a third anthro-monkey (a joke Zack had started given the reaction a lot of the huskies had to seeing human staff members after prolonged periods of only interacting with the anthros). It was a dark skinned woman. She moved with an air of authority she hadn't worn when talking with Hannah.
"Miss Naomi! Please stand down!" Juanita said.
"But-" The huskie started.
"I said stand down!" Juanita barked even though she was 100% human. Naomi actually tucked her tail between her legs.
Juanita quickly turned her attention towards the man from management. "Mr. M! Who authorized taking the pregnant doe directly into park custody?" Juanita's face was straight and stern.
Mr. M managed to somehow hold his composer. "I did Miss J. The park charter clearly states that should a pregnancy occur, a full examination of the subject is to take place."
"It -also- says that all members of Management are to be present and informed before hand! I've only just now found now! What is this!"
"Madam J." The scientist said taking one step foreword. "I requested the examination begin with utmost haste. There were never any pregnancies with any of our volunteers. All information is vital."
"You will have your chance to examine her soon enough and that will be soon enough. And you are to file all future requests to the Management as a whole -understand-!?"
The scientist still holding his composure slightly bowed, "Yes Madam J." And backed off not once turning his back on her.
"Miss Naomi." Juanita said, "You'll keep the Management directly informed of Miss Leticia's state. It's important for her own health and that of her child that she be examined as soon as she is ready."
"Yes Ma'am." The husky said. The other dogs merely nodded.
"Mr. M." Juanita, "It was voted that I would be the member of Management to interact with the guests. You are purely to interact with Research. Or were you given permission by the rest of the Management without my vote?"
"No Miss. J, you were not. I merely didn't wish to trouble you."
"Appreciated, but don't let it happen again Mr. M."
