A second later Ayumi was back with a golden feather who looked greater than the feather of every bird Joey had seen before.
When Ayumi go down on her knees and put the feather in the direction of his face he thought that she will tickling his nose with it, but instead of this she took the quill and sting it in Joey's uncovered shoulder.
A sharp pain went through his body and he had a strange feeling in his stomach, but then it was over and Ayumi removed the feather.
"Hey,", shouted Joey,"why must you sting my with the feather? That's hurt!"
"Don't worry, it is all part of ritual and you will know the rest soon enough.", said Alexis grinning, "Okay, I think it has finished, time to dig HER out."
With an incredible speed the girls dug Joey out of the sandhole and helped him to stood upright. But Joey has changed a lot: His whole body has now female proportions and his light brown hair reached down to his neck. Hhis genitals has changed into their female counterparts and he has B-size cups and a high-pitched voice. But the greatest change were the pair of brown giant wings on his back, which sproud from his shoulderblades.
Joey looked irritated to Alexis and the others and saw that they had now wings too, all times matching to their haircolour.
Alexis went to Joey and explained:"We are a tribe of harpies and as such one we can't reproduce like other beings. Someone can only become a harpy by the rite of the golden feather, and you was chosen from us to be our next sister. During the transformation it is very important not to move, so we must bury you in the sand, but now you are a complete harpy like we are. Like all harpies you are female now and you has wings to fly, but you can let them vanish with your thoughts, because we must live under humans and don't want to get too much attention. At least as our new sister you get a new name: From now on you are Josephine."
At first Joey wanted to protest against this, but then a part of his mind began to grow which said him that it wasn't so bad to be girl and harpy and so Joeyjoined there tribe and became Josephine.
