Just as he was putting the coat away, his mother walked in.
"JARED! Don't you help Mitch out! He needs to learn what to do with his own things!"
Jared was so started that he dropped the jacket. As he knelt down to pick it up and hand it to mitch the medallion fell out of his pocket onto the coat.
Quickly Jared swept the medallion backinto his shorts pocket, and handed the jacket to Mitch, then fled to his room to avoid any more arguments.
