The attack that night was brutal and efficient, just as any military operation would be. Tonight was not so much about sating a bloodlust urge, but about gaining a foothold for their dimension and their respective clans on this new earth.
Christine Jacobson, the representative of the wolves, struck the police station, looking for the strong warriors of the community to bring to their side. With the police properly indoctrinated, the takeover of the town would go much smoother. She gladly fought all of the men in the station, biting and clawing each one, tossing them aside, waiting for their transformations to ensue so they might join her.
Irena Suarez, the representative of the tigers, took to the hospital, knowing that she'd find many intelligent humans there. Cats value their reputation as crafty creatures, and as such preferred to bite the more intelligent ones to bring them to their race.
Kevin Marcus, the bovine representative, rampaged through the farmhouses toward the edge of the town, turning man to bull and woman to cow unilaterally, sparing noone. The bovines respected the farmers, those who grew their food and were largely self-sufficient.
Aaron Bjornsen, representative of the bears, wandered the woods looking for campers, or the occasional straggler. Bears being rather solitary creatures tended to prefer the outdoorsman type or the loners.
Jeff Emerson, representative of the birds, took only a handful of people, ones that were apparently out on the town that night looking for fun. They were colorful, and shiny, and they caught his eye. Certainly they would be fine birds, he thought.
Xavier Drake, representative of the dragons, took noone that night. Converting someone to his race was to confer great power to them. In his normal form, he stood 6'2" and weighed 250 pounds. In his draconic form, if he stood upright, he was nearly 30 feet tall and a couple of tons. To gift even more than one person might bring chaos to the world, as most dragons needed at least half a continent to themselves once they were full-grown. Instead, he destroyed phone lines, ripping them easily from their poles, and destroyed a couple bridges into town. Then, he simply roosted on the top of the tallest hill outside of town to make sure noone came to help, and wondered to himself if he would find a woman he would make his mate in this world, or if it would be somewhere else. He also wondered if there was anything in this town he could add to his horde, as was part of the agreement in this invasion. This continent would be his, and he would get choice of anything to add to his horde of shiny things. In exchange, he would provide absolute protection from the modern army or police, as well as tactical destruction. As long as he was not betrayed, Drake would keep his word.
