Phil took a deep breath and leapt out onto the savana. He made a bee-line for Lynda, who looked up startled from her grass and moo'ed. "Come'on! Git! Go!" he yelled trying to push her back toward the path.
The water buffelo seemed to dimly be aware of him and even started to walk that way when something wolloped Phil in the back and knocked him to the ground. He laid on the ground stunned for a moment before he rolled over and saw the giant buffelo male standing over him, protecting the herd. "Aw, Crap," he muttered as he tried to scoot away, "This isn't going to work."
There was suddenly a horrible cramp in his hands and feet. Phil looked at them only to see that they were quickly turning into hooves! Even as the fur sprouted along his arms, he tried to get back to the path, to stop his transformation!
