The fight had been more difficult than the doe had anticipated. She stood still a moment, panting for breath. Her huge breasts heaving with every air-starved breath. She realized she was wet, her muscular body glistening with sweat. She brought a hand to her chest, wiping the sweat from her right breast, and was shocked at the tingle of pleasure as her soft, strong fingers passed over her exposed nipple. It was a new, alien sensation. She had known, before she had become this creature, that her rutting time was approaching. But she had not been prepared for the feelings that were swelling up inside her now. She touched her breast again, drawing her fingers slowly over her sensitive nipple, smearing blood from her hand into the sweet sweat on her bosom.
Her lustful thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a splashing sound ahead. She froze a moment, then frowned in frustration. Balling her hands into fists, she followed the path of the wolf's last flight.
When she emerged from the trees at the river's edge, she saw the beast. Still alive, still clinging desperately to life, but not for long, she thought. Though the river was shallow, with its broken bones and tortured flesh, the animal was unable to keep its feet beneath it. Soaked and dripping blood and water, it whimpered pathetically, struggling and repeatedly failing to keep its head above water.
The doe smiled as she watched the wolf struggle, splashing desperately in the shallow stream. It would suck down the cold water, then cough violently before trying to catch more breath, only to suck in more water.
She did not intervene. She only watched as the wolf struggled, gulping down more water, splashing, until finally it could raise itself no more. Under the slow water, it continued to struggle, and she could see it painfully draw in several lungfulls of water, before the dirt kicked up under its feet clouded the water so much to hide it from view.
The doe sighed, satisfied. She had not quite been able to kill the wolf, but the river had finished the job.
The river, she suddenly remembered, which had granted her this new body.
