You pick up a plastic dragon. The detail is amazing, but there's something different about it. It's warmer than it ought to be. It seems to be getting hotter. At first it feels solid in your hand, then it seems to melt like a stick of butter in your hand, and suddenly it becomes a gust of hot air. You open your empty hand, and see that it is now coated with the coloring that had been on the dragon. The colors seem to be spreading up your wrist and arm, only it's not just colors, your skin is becoming hard and scaly.
It cannot be, but it is true! You are becoming a dragon. The scales spread all over your body. Your skin itches terribly, and when you scratch your clothing into shreds you notice that your fingernails have become claws. You feel bloated, and as the seams on your ragged remaining clothing split as your body begins to expand beneath the inadequate cloth covering.
Your insides are churning and burning, You throw back your head and scream as your transformation from man into mythic beast continues. Flames spew forth from your screaming maw burning away your hair and transforming the toy store into an inferno. The fire doesn't burn you, but you feel the heat. You love the heat. You want it hotter. You want to turn the ground into magma. Rage fills your mind as the pain intensifies. Your pearly white teeth fall to the floor, as great black dragon fangs grow to fill your expanding jaws.
You are a dragon it is your destiny. The destiny in spite of the growing pain calls you to transform. You skeleton shudders, snaps and pops as your bones grow restructuring your draconic humanoid frame into a true dragon's body. The walls and roof of the burning building sluff off your expanding body as you outgrow the shop, and become a dragon in the ruins of a shopping row.
