Naomi was desperate. It wasn't just the thought that she and her huskies had failed in their responsiblity to the park guests. A guest murdering another guest could destroy the park. It would be impossible to keep police authorities and the press out, and sensationalistic stories about people made into monsters would make giant headlines.
Hannah needed to get to a transformation room before she bled to death. The huskies were moving quickly and smoothly, but would they make it?
A husky was stationed to initiate the regeneration program, a special subset of transformation routines for restoring health to a body without changing it, as soon as Hannah entered the chamber. "Don't die, don't die." Naomi muttered.
Hannah was taking in big, wrenching gasps, that seemed to threaten to open the bandages on her throat. "Now!" Naomi shouted, as the stretcher party entered the room.
The process seemed miraculous, as Hannah's wounds closed and her face returned to a peaceful expression. "What happened?" asked the doe as she returned to consciousness.

Marth was overcome with a wave of disgust. Was this what violence led to? He had never felt less like fighting. And he was surprised by how concerned he felt for Hannah. "Leticia." Marth said. "I'm sorry. Look, if you want to be Jeremy's wife now, just go ahead and do it. I'm sure you'll make a great wife and mother."
"I'm sure Hannah will be all right." Leticia responded. "The medical facilities here are amazing."
"I hope so. I hate this place." Marth burst out.

Maggie felt strange. Small, weak. The power that she had grown used to after her change had gone. With a start she realized that she was back in her human body, on a cot in a small, unmarked room. *Oh no, what have I done?* she thought.
A human woman entered the room with a grim expression. "You're lucky." she began "Hannah--the doe whose throat you ripped out--survived. She's not going to bring charges. You are to leave and never return." Two expressionless huskies entered the room behind her.
Maggie had never felt so defeated. *I nearly killed someone.* But there was one question she had to ask.
"How is my son?"
"He's fine." the human answered. "He doesn't want to see you."
Maggie was weeping as the huskies escorted her off the park grounds.
