You run a search for Arctos Outfitters. Oddly enough, you get only one result. "Arctos Outfitters: code name for secret government project. 'Arctos' deals with a new type of enhancement drugs, engineered to increase muscle mass in order to create better soldiers. Certain civilians have been chosen as test subjects, having been given free clothes designed to covertly expose the subjects to a variety of experimental growth compounds."
"There's something wrong here," you say to yourself, "why would a 'secret' government project be on a commercial search service?" Without warning, your screen goes blank. "Now what? Do I have a virus?"
A line of text appears on the black screen, "No, your computer is fine, we are just hacking it to communicate with you."
You stand up, looking around. They know what you said, they have to be watching you somehow. More text appears, "Calm down. Yes, we bugged your house while you were away, the better to observe your results. We apologize for forcing this change on you. We needed civilian subjects to test. We sent several such packages to citizens across the country, to test the reaction in a variety of different people. Now that we know what your mixture did, we will administer the antidote."
Knowing that they can see and hear you, you decide to question your unseen observer, "So, this isn't permanent?"
The screen responds, "There is an 80% chance of a quick return to your previous state, a 19.99% chance of the reversal taking a short time."
"And that last little part?" you press.
"There is an extremely rare chance that the change is permanent. That delivery guy was one of our agents, and he reported on your conduct..." You blush as you remember the flirting. "He's trained to act inconspicuous, but he had to evaluate your mental state. It appears that your strain causes some... unforeseen alterations. I'm sure that it's nothing. Our man will be along shortly to give you the antidote. Just sit tight."
Your computer returns to normal. You guess it's a waiting game now.
