CYOTF (Human)

Plan of Attack

added 15 years ago O

I lost track of time for awhile. I don't think anyone could blame me. I felt light as a
feather as we walked back down to the basement, hand-in-hand.

I was in love, and it was wonderful.

Amanda and Liz were cuddling on the couch; the both of them looked so cute together.
Apparently they had resolved a few things, as, despite her earlier protestations, Amanda
was nibbling on Liz's earlobe.

"Hey you two." they looked in my direction and smiled. It had been an amazing day so
far.

Maddi didn't seem too surprised, then again, her and Liz were somehow linked, to where
they knew what the other was thinking. I wondered if they could share experiences as
well?

"So um, I guess we need to discuss a few things. While it's been fun, and to be honest, I
want to play with the medallion more...I know I, for one, am very happy being a girl. But
how can I stay a girl? I have a life, people that will miss me, and no actual identity of my
own."

Amanda nodded. "I grew up too fast the first time around, and I'm in no hurry to go back."

Liz and Maddi shared a look that spoke volumes. They would never give up the bond
between them.

"Ok. So how do we do this? I mean, at the moment, Maddi can pass for Liz...and she's the
only one who's tall enough to drive. Not to mention..the only one of us who could
currently hold much of a job. We have to be able to live, after all. It did occur to me that
nothing stops us from using the medallion to change ourselves however we want. Like, I
could say I wanted to be a guy again, and no matter who won whatever we wagered, they
could make it happen. We've already touched on that a little."

I paused. "But let's face it. This thing is magic, and we've already seen it interpret our, um,
'wishes' in ways we didn't intend. So I'm guessing we can't rely on it to work in our favor
all the time."

Amanda nodded. "I concur. Technically, we can undo any unintended changes...but who's
to say it will always work? We don't know how it functions. That's not to say I feel that it
will just stop working...but it may not function if there's no risk or gamble involved. I have
no logical evidence to back that theory up, it's just my intuition."

The twins nodded in agreement.

"So we can use it to have fun, we can change our lives with it, but we can't think of it as a
genie that will always do what we want. Plus, I don't know if you noticed it, but every time
I won, I had the urge to do some mischief."

Maddi looked bashful. "Sorry guys, I guess I don't have much restraint."

'Manda winked. "All is forgiven. Really, it was an interesting experience, I'd be willing to
do it again."

"Yeah, but that doesn't really explain what to do now."

Amanda looked at the clock. "How much time do we have before your parents get home,
Maddi?"

"Oh um, jeez...til 10."

"Ok, that gives us 6 hours to figure this out. I propose we play with the medallion for a
few hours. With luck, one of us will get an idea; if the medallion can inspire mischief,
maybe it will give us a useful idea. And if not, that still leaves us with a few hours. If
nothing else, we can always just run for the hills."

"Ok, but no more cards." Liz held up a finger. "We need a game with a little more chance
involved."

A few games were suggested. Most games were way too long, though.

Then I had an idea.
