Scratched!

added 15 years ago I O

You lean back in anticipation of the werewolf's next strike, your eyes focusing particularly on its sharp teeth. You hold your arms out, crossed in front of your chest to guard it from harm, and to allow you to push it off if it goes for the neck. You're ready for almost anything it could do.

At first, the wolf swings at you with a few slow, brutish swings. You have no trouble avoiding the blows. However, you soon notice its attacks hastening. One swipe flows into another, each strike blending together, until soon it's far too much for you to handle. You hold up your arms to try and hold back the flurry, but still feel the sharp pain of its claws tearing into your forearms again and again, cutting through your flesh like tiny daggers. You're forced to leap back, putting a bit of distance between you and the wolf, in order to escape its assault.

Now, both you and your opponent stand here panting. It's clearly exhausted from the exertion of moving at that kind of pace, but you're just trying to push the pain in your arms out of your mind. You can feel the blood trickling from all of the cuts, dripping down your hands and falling to the floor, and you know that you have to deal with the blood loss soon. Still, you can't just turn your back and run from this - there's no way you'd get away before it jumped you from behind. It's because of this that, at first, you think it a small miracle when the pain in your arms seems to fade, and you feel the trickling blood slow and then stop its flow. Unfortunately, the cause is something far worse: looking at your arms, you can see a series of large, shiny blood-red streaks where you'd been cut, each glimmering in the light of the room just like the wolf's purple latex flesh. You can even see slight progression of the color outwards from where you'd been cut, as they slowly begin to spread across your forearm.

Whatever it is that creates these monsters, you've been "infected" by it. You're left with only the hopes that the progression of the latex might stop on its own... but then, if this fight keeps going the way it has been, things could only get worse.
