"Man," you said to Ivana, "This is killer food. You're an amazing cook, my dear." You're not lying or over-complementing her skills, this was an amazing meal. The roast is juicy and tender, the gravy complementing the meat and potatoes to perfection.
Ivana blushes, giggling slightly, "You're too kind, my little human," she says, "It's just a simple roast."
"I'd beg to differ," you tell her, "Especially when you consider that all I've had to eat is ramen noodles for the past month."
"Ah," she says, arching her eyebrows, "So you're really saying that my cooking is only better than ramen noodles?"
"No, no! That's not what I'm saying at all..." you sigh, not meaning it the way it came out. You feel like an idiot, your words not coming out properly.
"Relax, my pretty one," she says, "I was only having some fun with you."
"I know," you say, "It's just...you're an amazing woman, a historical figure..I mean, I learned about you in history class, at least in passing. I've seen television shows about you. Your beautiful, you're smart, you're cultured and.." you trail off, actively avoiding choking up. It's not that you're sad, you're just frustrated, she's totally out of your league, and for a number of reasons.
"And I'm yours," she says, "If you'll keep me." She gets out of her seat, walking over to yours, wrapping her arms around you. She kisses you lightly on the lips, sending the electric sensation through the two of you, only this time it's not a shock, so much as just a warm sensation, almost as though a blanket has been wrapped around you. She pulls away, cradling your face, looking deep into your eyes. "Will you? Will you keep me? Will you let me be YOUR princess?"
"Always," you respond, pulling her in for a movie-quality kiss. The energy surges through both of you, ebbing and flowing almost in a rhythm with your kiss.
Eventually, she pulls away, eyes sparkling and misty, "Thank you, my love," she says, her voice quivering slightly.
"No," you respond, feeling your own eyes tearing up, "Thank YOU, my princess."
