A Game of Change

Escape from Netherworld

added by AVP2424 15 years ago BM

Despite being in pitch blackness Lissy could see the board perfectly well and she reached forward to pick up three cards from the deck. Lissy found it quite eerie that she could feel the cards fine but where she expected the cards to be blocked by her fingers she could see just fine. It was slightly disconcerting, but when Lissy saw the cards she had been dealt she wasn't happy. She scowled at the picture of the three cards. The word Nether was on the back of each card but none of them looked appealing to her. She decided to read each before choosing.

SUMMON: Splicing Horror Call had a picture of a monster on the front that looked like a mix of man and wolf but without any skin. The text read Splicing Horror Call. Increased Hearing, Decreased Sight, and Increased Mental Control.

TRANSFORM: Shady Appearance had a picture of a shadow on the the card and the text read Shady Appearance. Teleportation from shadow to shadow, Weakness to Light, Night Vision.

TRANSFORM: Evil Look had a picture of red eyes on the card and the text read Evil Look. Enhanced beauty, enhanced Perception.

Looking at all the different portals around here she could see the advantages in each of the cards before her. The only problem was that if Shady Appearance made her weak to light then she might not even be able to enter a portal. Not liking her choices she still chose to play Evil Look and Splicing Horror Call.

Lissy could feel the changes start and they were uncomfortable as she felt her clothes changing on her body but she was frustrated because she couldn't see the exact effects of the change. She was scared to see the board and cards fade from her sight only to be replaced with copies that were made out of silver light. She shrugged before making a series of barks and yips that echoed around the stone chamber she was in. Even though Lissy was effectively blind she could still see the mass of angry colors that followed a figure that entered the room. The colors let out a threatening growl but did nothing more. Lissy looked at the board and saw the writing.

'Using your Splicing Horror as a guide, you are able to find your portal back. It is 6 spaces away and the Splicing Horror provides a +2 movement bonus.' One of the hexes near Lissy's piece became highlighted with a golden light.

Lissy was glad she had made a good choice with her cards and rolled a 4. Lissy moved her token to the hex. The Splicing Horror gave her one last growl before her world was surrounded with light. Lissy looked around the room but she couldn't make out any specific shapes. Some of the blobs of color jumped and Lissy knew she was hearing Ryan when he said in a whisper, "By the gods, what temptation is this?"

Ryan stared in awe and fear at the sight of Lissy. As a Prince, Ryan was immune to the enchantments and compulsions that weaker mortals would fall prey too; therefore, he was able to see past Lissy's flawless beauty to the soiled soul underneath. Lissy's top half of her face was now covered by a black fox mask with red markings and long ears. The skin of the lower half of her face was like polished onyx. Her hair was a fiery red that spilled out of the back of the mask in a glorious mane that spilled down her back in ringlets with the bottom tip a ghostly white. She also had two fluffy tails coming from her butt. She was now wearing black leather bracers that covered her whole forearms and a spiked shoulder cuff on her left shoulder. On her right calf was a black plate. Wrapped around her stomach, right arm, her left leg, were black ribbons.

Ryan knew that it was his duty to slay this foul villain before she latched her claws into this band of heroes and prevented them from completing their quest. Whatever it was.

Mary gasped as Lissy sat down on Mary's lap. Lissy placed an arm around Mary's shoulder and said in a sultry voice, "That could have been bad, Mary. I was almost stuck in the netherworld, so I don't think we should use this pentagram to bring anyone else to us. Still I should thank you for saving me from the trees."

The amphibious frog girl was stunned when the dark temptress kissed her but it wasn't long till she was returning the sentiment. Their tongues worked fiercely and when they finally came up for air, Mary thought she could taste Tobi from Lissy's earlier ministrations. Apparently Tobi and Bob had enjoyed the show and both were grinning but Ryan scowled. Hopefully something would happen to Ryan soon. Even if he was handsome, his arrogance was getting to be more then she could handle.

It was Tobi's turn and he wondered how he was going to roll the dice. Checking to see if he still had his powers of air he waved his head and a small gust of wind caused the dice to roll across the board.

Tobi had gotten a...
