Setting up a transformation park was a huge operation, and Mike and Jasmine knew only a fraction of their Transformation Park Canada fellow employees--probably a larger fraction than most, given Jasmine's blue-collar circle of friends and Mike's white collar.
One group neither Mike nor Jasmine knew were the new huskies, who had started to filter in about six months ago, to train and familiarize themselves with the terrain before the park opened.
But tonight the foxmorph couple had been invited to a get-acquainted party, and some of the new huskies would be there.
They were surprised when a husky they had never seen before greeted them by name.
The husky chuckled. "I was a monkey the last time you saw me. Remember Juanita, the one who made the arrangement for you to work here and keep those wonderful bodies?"

Jessica and Naomi hadn't been able to keep the secret. The disappearance of Juanita and the simultaneous appearance of Jessica had just been too neat. Meghan, whose computer skills and knowledge of the system exceeded even Juanita's, found the few ghostly footprints the new husky had left.
Jessica didn't know what had happened, didn't remember being Juanita, but knew she was facing a horrible punishment--exile in the world of the monkeys.
But neither Jessica nor Mr. M and the other members of the management had reckoned with the fact that Jessica was a member of a pack.
Mr. M had so far been spared the wrath of Naomi. No longer. And Naomi was backed by absolute solidarity among the huskies. Jessica was well-liked, and despite the personal misgivings many of the huskies had about Naomi, none questioned her fierce protectiveness over the pack. And the fact that the lead husky was defending her female pack member against arrogant males only added to the stubborness with which she fought.
Management now faced the fact that without Juanita and the huskies, it had no way to manage the guests. And some of the other park employees, even Meghan (not Gunther, though) were making similar noises.
Faced with a husky strike, management had no choice but to back down. Jessica was allowed to stay as a member of the pack. After a year, she recovered Juanita's memories. But the life of Jessica the husky was so much more satisfying than that of Juanita the human, that she had decided to stay in the pack and make a life and career as a husky. When TF Park Canada asked Naomi for a recommendation for someone suitable to be the new park's lead husky, she immediately recommended Jessica.
