In a world where humans and the mythical reside, and magic is the prime source, you find this book.
The book contains all sorts of "Modern" spells. It includes stuff such as complete mechanizations of one creature or some odd body modifications.
The book is in a store. You snap the book shut and then you know, this is the right book for you. You just HAVE to show this to your friends. And for $29.95, it's a good deal. Magic was always something you liked.
After buying the book and taking it home, you open your cell phone case and start text messaging. You just HAVE to tell your friends. After a few minutes, they all arrive.
A dragon with bronze coloured scales and a frill running the length of his neck is among the first. He isn't that big of a dragon, being only seven or so feet tall and almost double as long from head to tail. He lays down on the floor and picks at his nail, while occasionally purring as your other friend scratches behind his ear fin.
One of your other friends is a naga. more snakelike, he stands about six feet high on his coils. Green Scales cover his body and he has a snakelike head, on top of a hand that is almost an exact repilica of a human's.
But your other friend, a girl named Momo, is perhaps your love interest. A nice red-haired girl with braids running the length of her back, and freckles on her face. She is perhaps elvish judging by the slight points of her ears and her complextion.
"What is it you wanted to show us?" The dragon Urs asks.
"What's in the new spellbook?" Your naga friend Shabaz says, with an accent that sounds vaguely Pakistani.
Momo just shyly waves.
"Well," You begin as you look at the spells.
