Ty sat up on his bed and looked around. His roaming eyes nearly missed the figure of an old man appearing in the corner of his room. "Greetings Tyler. I hope I am not disturbing you."
Ty gasped and almost cried out. "Who the hell are you? Where'd you come from?"
"I? I am Terlhyn, the Ninth Guardian of Humanity. Born 1550 and bearing the title of Guardian from 1565 until now."
"Guardian?"
"Those powers. You possess immense magical powers granted to you by the One. And as I at last pass on, you must take up the role of Guardian and protect humanity as long as possible. Until the next Guardian is born. Then you shall be released from duty. Use your powers wisely, but do not be afraid to have fun. Everyone of us has."
And with those words his form faded away and vanished. Ty looked around the room and shrugged. The old man's words had made no sense, but he decided to have some more fun with these powers. So first he had deal with Dustin. He wished for his foster brother to really be 13, and not just look it.
Next he made for a mirror and wished for himself to grow muscles. Not bulky, but lean and athletic like a basketball player or swimmer. He watched in the mirror as his arms swelled a little and his chest pushed out into pecs and lifting up his shirt he saw a six-pack of abs, not washboard, but still there. His legs firmed up and swelled and his back became v-shaped. His blonde hair became a little less curly and his skin tanned a litt.e He looked himself over and nodded with satisfaction.
He headed downstairs as his foster parents came by. "There you are Ty, listen could you take care of your little brother for us, we have to go out."
