Looking down, Paula thought that she looked odd and then the name Paul popped into her mind. When this did she had brief glimmer at who she was before she noticed two things.
The first thing was that she was now smaller. Standing, she realized it to be true and looking at herself and the bag, she figured out, rather sluggishly, that she was now two years old.
The other thing that she noticed was that there was a fine powder all over the floor where she had just laying.
Paul tried to force his mind to work, but it was so difficult as the mind of a two year old girl continued to work and replace all that he had thought he known. Just as he was about to give up, it dawned on paul what this powder was; it was all that remained of the amulet.
"I'm stuck," Paul tried to say, but all that came out was something that barely recognizable as English. It was then that he heard the door handle turning.
