Bring! The ringing of the bell signaled the start of the next period.
Hikari was hurrying onto her last class for the day, Chemistry, when Lauren came up. "Hey what's the rush?" she asked. Sighing, Hikari looked straight ahead, "Gonna *huff* be late *huff* again! You know how strict *huff* Mr. Torelli gets!" Lauren giggled, "No matter how fast you go, you're not going to make it," the warning bell rung, "told ya. Gotta go, call me later k?" With that she walked off.
Hikari payed no attention. If she was late again, she would get detention! Her strict parents would probably ground her for a 5th time this month which isn't good.
Crash! Books went flying into the air as two people collided with each other. "Hey!" Hikari shook her head, "Look I'm terribly sorry and all-" She froze while looking at the person she knocked into. The young boy brushed himself off, "Gotta watch were you're going, you're an accident waiting to happen." "Gagabubu," she stammered. "Here lemme help you with that." He picked up the objects scattered around.
His name was Tory, one of Hikari's biggest crushes. She couldn't help freezing up whenever he appeared, call it cause and effect. Lauren always teased her about him since as far back she can remember.
Snap snap! Hikari jumped out of her shock. "Earth to Hikari? Hello?" "O-oh sorry about t-that its just-" "Here's your things. Ms. Thompson is gonna kill me for being late again. See ya," he walked off. "You're not the only one late," she thought.
At home Hikari was finishing up her homework when the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Its Lauren wassup?"
"Bored as hell."
"You're doing anything now are you?"
"No why?"
"Good I'm having a party tonight and want you to come!"
"But it's 11pm! And besides, I'm grounded again."
"You're always grounded, you need a break from life. I also invited a certain someone...Tory! I want to get both of you together in a mugshot."
"I can't though."
"Well if you say so, I guess I'll just have to let eveyone know who's comming that you and Tory are-"
"Ok ok! Since you put it that way, be there in 15 mins."
"Cool, later." *click* "Can't believe I'm doing this," Hikari said as she climbed out her window.
It was dark out, but Hikari knew her way well. She was only worried about getting caught. "Hikari? What are you doing out here?" someone called out. She froze thinking someone caught her. A shadow emerged. "Tory?" she gasped. "Didn't expect you comming out here this late, whats up?" Hikari sighed with some relief, "Heading over to Lauren's." Tory only grinned, "Same here. It be better if hung together right? We're both goin there." Hikari was happy to here this and at least she wasn't wandering alone.
They both talked to make a conversation. "We should of been there by now," Hikari just noticed. "Lauren said her house wasn't too far." Hikari added, "and I don't remember this path being here either." Tory shrugged his shoulders, "Don't worry about it we'll get the- !" The ground suddenly gave way to where they were standing! Blackness was the last thing Hikari saw...
