Later on the mermaid, whose name was Abrella and myself were sitting on a rock, talking. I decided not to push the subject of me returning to human form just yet. Instead I asked "So why were you disguised as a human?"
"A sacred pearl was stolen from our underwater kingdom, And I used sea magic to make myself human. Your childish wish accidently undid it."
"I'm sorry. Do you want me to make you human again?"
"Only our sea magic can do that. If you really want to help, how about a deal? You find and return the pearl and I promise I'll turn you back to your proper form."
"How do I even know where to look?"
"Now that you've enchanted by mermaid magic, you're tuned into it. You should be able to track it down."
