Cliodna lays a hand across the threshold of the faerie ring and gently takes yours.
"Are you sure this is what you want?" She asks. "You may be able to return home, but you must learn to navigate the ebbs and flows of time in this realm. It may take a very long time."
You consider your life before, of work, of home, but she is offering you a home here, and you will be able to come back, she is saying. You remember old stories of faerie trickery, but if she is doing so, she's a damn good trickster.
"I'll do it."
As if in gesture of trust, she stands, steps outside the ring, and kneels by you taking you in a gentle embrace.
'Mortal, I have seen your heart and soul. I know the truth. Few may become immortal like you may...and I believe you. Tell me your name."
You do so.
"Come with me...please."
She stands, taking your hand, and guiding you into the faerie ring. AS you cross the threshold, you find your clothes vanish, and as you look down at your nudity, she actually giggles like a little girl.
"I do forget, mortal humans are so concerned about things like nudity. Among us, it is not so straightforward. Nor is monogamy. We feel things deeper than humans. I have known true lovers to have dalliances. The most devoted faerie woman has indulged in passions with a satyr or nymph...and her mate would do the same. It is not what you call infidelity. It is passion, but no matter what, we always find the arms of our true love, and that is where our greatest harmony lies."
She leans forward and kisses your forehead. "I give myself to you willingly, mortal...will you claim me as your mate and one true love?"
