John pondered this a moment with lowered ears, just standing there in the middle of the men's room. Wondering what time it was he rummaged through his belongings digging out his car keys, wallet and watch. The watch read 10:17pm, well past when the wolf said he'd return. John figured maybe the wolf would have an answer and decided to wait a bit longer, hoping he’d return and hiding back in the stall for now.
Another ten minutes went by, which seemed to drag on for eternity, but finally the door opened and the wolf returned; "John?" are you there? "Yes... Yip..." he called, immediately covering his betraying, vulpine mouth but it was too late, the wolf opened the stall door and saw him as he was. John looked at the floor with his ears lowered while the wolf just remained silent for what seemed to be a long time. Finally John spoke up quietly "y-you're not upset with me are you? I couldn't hold back any longer... a-and I thought it was you” to which the wolf just laughed in a booming tone, slapping him on the shoulder "Of course not! .. but John, you are a fox now and if you are to stay with me you'll have to become my pet. Otherwise I can escort you outside and you'll be free to go, but I warn you that others like me may try to capture you. Foxes unfortunately do not have any rights, so this does put you in a bit of a predicament."
He gives John a tight squeeze and then steps back over to the door to lock it. "Well, what is your decision?" he says calmly.
