The strange feeling in your leg has risen to your upper thigh, and it'll soon reach your waist (and more importantly, your groin - you don't want to know what it'll do to that). With its progress not only refusing to halt but refusing to even slow the slightest bit, you know that you no longer have any choice. You have to tell Steve.
"Hey Steve..."
"Yeah?"
"What would... what would you do if one of those things managed to get me? Not all the way I mean, but... well, what if one caught me by, say, the leg, and then I was sort of... changing? What would you do?"
"Well, I'd kill ya." He lets off a hearty laugh. "No, seriously, I'd try to figure out some way to help you. You're all I've got right now, buddy - no one else would think I was sane if I told them about tonight. Why'd you ask?"
You look around for a few seconds to make sure no one else can see you, then turn back to Steve and pull up your pantleg to show him your leg. His eyes grow wide as soon as he sees it.
"Oh man... I thought you were talking hypothetical or something. Wow, this is the real deal, isn't it? Oh... oh wow."
After that, he's left speechless, unable to do anything but gawk at your smooth, rubbery leg. He reaches out and rubs it, your sensitive latex flesh letting out a soft squeak as he does. He looks at his hand, and then presents it to you, but you just look back at him questioningly.
"I figured that it wouldn't, but look. I didn't rub off on me or anything. That means that I can touch it without having to worry about it. Now we just need to think of a way to get it off..."
