After we'd made love to each other, we laid there naked on the bed and presently drifted off to sleep.
I awoke to a pain in my breasts and my stomach. Not quite understanding why my breast were sore and tender, after all I was new to this whole pregnancy thing, I stood and pulled on a bathrobe and went to take a shower.
Half way through I was joined by Mr. McTaber, now my husband. I leaned over and kissed him and asked, "So what should I call you? And what shall you call me? We certainly can't go by our old names."
Grinning, he returned my kiss and said, "We have to go see me lawyer, the one that's a member of the Order of Zulo. We have an elven a.m. appointment." With this said, he then lathered up his hands and began to slowly massage my sore breast and tickle my abdomen.
After our shower, we ate breakfast and I prepared myself so I looked presentable for our meeting. After that, we were picked up by the chauffeur, who handed us the medallion, warning us not to lose it and drove us downtown to a high rise apartment building. Taking the elevator to the top floor, we were shown into an office and waited for Mr. McTaber's lawyer.
We only waited a minute before another man came into the office and introduced himself as a Mr. Vandenberg. Bidding us to take a seat, he looked at me and asked my, "Any thought what you might want your new name to be?"
Nodding, I looked at my future husband and said, Rachael McTaber."
Writing that down the lawyer turned to Mr. McTaber and asked, "And your new name will be?"
Clearing his throat he said, "Donald Pfaster."
Smiling, Mr. Vandenberg wrote all this down and then turning to a computer started to type. After a bit, he stood and exited the room. Within minutes he was back and handing each of us envelopes.
Opening mine I saw a birth certificate and a social security card. Also included were other important documents; mostly dealing with hospital stuff.
My searching of the envelope was interrupted as the lawyer said, "One thing we could not arrange was your marriage. You two will have to sort that bit out on your own time. Now, these are the keys to your new car and the keys to your new home. You'll be living next door to an Alice Punnit. She has five daughters, but no husband. Don't know really were the husband is. Please don't ask her, seeing how it's a touchy subject."
Nodding, the lawyer then proceeded to explain how Mr. McTaber's estate and wealth would be divided up. After the natural born relatives received their fair share, the rest would be wired to a joint bank account we both now shared. The total sum of this, in American dollars, was enough to make Bill Gates look like a homeless bum. Also included was a summer house in Whales and Mr. McTaber's private Jet and Yacht.
Next Mr. Vandenberg asked for the Amulet of Zulo. Handing it to him, he pulled a metal wand out of the desk that reminded me of a metal detector at the airport. Running it over the medallion, he then place the charm into his desk. After that, he came around the desk and ran the wand over us, reassuring us that he just checking to make sure we were healthy. After that, he sat back down and placed the wand back into his desk and then started to pull out some more forms from the interior of a mini filing cabinet.
Satisfied with the way things turned out, we wrapped up out business by signing the necessary legal forms presented to us, were explained that our old lives now no longer existed and where shown out the door and into our new lifestyle.

Driving the Toyota to the location, we marveled at the events and how they had turned out. Pulling up to the house, we watched as moving truck pulling away. Parking in the driveway, we then entered the house and took a look around. Afterward we started unpacking and putting our new stuff away, well Donald did that. But that was because he was worried about me and our unborn daughter. Soon guests arrived and introduced themselves as a Daisy, Stephanie and Katie Punnit followed by a Leslie Zimmermann.
Chuckling, Donald offered them something to eat and I fetched drinks. Thinking to myself, "We're going to be so happy," I served the drinks to the girls, our new neighbors and finished help unpack.
