The next person to get the note was a student in the class, named Alex McDonnell. He also happened to be sitting next to Gerald/Stephanie, and had noticed when Gerald suddenly began to change. Since he was directly watching, any magic the note might have done to keep people from noticing didn't work, and he could tell that most things Stephanie wrote down made her more female (and the ones that didn't, probably changed her in ways he couldn't see).
When class ended, he followed Stephanie, and picked the note up off of Mr. Bard's desk as soon as possible, curious as to what it was. He folded it up without reading it until he could get to a bench outside the school, where he opened it.
Question 1: If you were a girl....what would your name be?
Tony, having understood what the note did, didn't really feel like changing much. He thought, "I guess whoever used this note before me didn't realize it transformed them until it was too late. But at least I know not to change myself in ridiculous ways I don't want."
He wrote down "Alex McDonnell." Seemed pretty safe. There are girls named Alex, after all--yet writing that down couldn't possibly change him. If he hadn't realized it was a transformation note he would have written down something female-only.
Question 2: If you were a girl....would you like pink?
He realized he had no choice but to finish the questions and wrote down "no". Again, no change.
Question 3: If you were a girl....how old would you be, how tall would you be without shoes and what would you weigh without clothes?(Don't lie)
He wrote down his own age (16) and his own height, which was just 5' 4" anyway. Weight was harder--it occurred to him that a girl and a guy the same height might not be the same weight. This was a problem--he couldn't possibly put down an answer that would make sense for both a guy and a girl. He was already pretty thin, though, and figured that a girl with his weight would be normal, so put that down.
Question 4: If you were a girl....would you like ballet?
No, of course. It was entirely possible for both boys and girls to hate ballet.
Question 5: If you were a girl....would you wear a dress?
No. Likewise--some girls didn't wear dresses much, so he could answer "no" in a way that was possible for a girl, yet not change his present self.
Question 6: If you were a girl....what type of underwear would you be wearing?
He considered the next answer....
