"Fine," Charlie agreed, "But not now. I've got work tomorrow"
"Dude, you're always at work"
"We need money," Charlie chided, "Besides, you can hardly leave the house in your "condition". I'll go on my way home tomorrow and see if I can find her"
Greg considered this and decided, to be fair, people would not react kindly to a bear patrolling the streets. He certainly didn't want to be tranquilized and abducted by animal control.
He agreed.
Greg awoke the following afternoon after a peculiar night.
It wasn't that it was hard to get comfortable, it was quite easy. It was just that it was different sort of comfort and Greg wasn't used to it. In the end, he gave up trying to sleep on the bed and crashed on the floor. This helped, but not by much.
Charlie left a very detailed note on the coffee table. It involved how his emotions had been affected by the strange events in the night, how he had awoke believing it was a dream and had relived the experience once again after peeking into Greg's room before he set off. The only really important things the note contained was that he'd try to find the woman after work and that he'd made some sandwiches which he'd left in the fridge.
Greg had had trouble opening the fridge and knocked over a jar of jelly in the process. He opted to lick up the jam instead.
An hour later, Greg was watching cartoons.
He hated cartoons, but it had taken him half an hour to get this channel on and was scared he'd accidentally switch the TV off if he tried to change it.
He imagined the scene would look very odd to an outsider. Here was a large grizzly bear, sat on a couch and watching television.
He chuckled.
But that didn't last very long.
Without anything to do in his ursine body, he was growing very bored.
