Cliodna holds you close, then gazes into your eyes. "I'm glad you chose me..."
You look at her...in her eyes, it feels like with your new senses you can read her, into her soul. She does care for you, and now you know why. However, with your mortal memories of how things work, you find yourself awkward...
"Cliodna," you say, "I don't know what is going on. About you. Me. Us. Who we are. What we are." The words seem to spill from your lips.
The queen giggles, and puts a finger to your lips. "So much so fast! Come. Let me show you."
She rises, and guides you to your feet. She is quite strong, and lithe as well. She enrobes herself, and takes your hand before it can grasp your own garments. "No. Not yet. You may have things of import to you, but they will be safe, by my order as a faerie queen." She lays a hand to a tree, and seems to concentrate...then, stroking her hand down the bark, draws forth for you a garment...woven bark fiber, binding flaps of opaque spider silk. You don the loincloth, still feeling a little exposed.
"Take my hand," she says gently. "And close your eyes." You do so. She takes your hand, and you feel yourself lift from the ground. "Open them," she whispers into your ear.
You find yourself rising over the forest, almost weightless, except you feel weight. The breeze caresses your hair, and you feel motion on your back. Glancing over your shoulder, you see the blur of motion as your wings flap, extending to a broad span and belying their apparent fragility.
"How..." you begin to ask.
"Instinct! You know how to fly already...you just needed to know you knew!" She giggles. "See what you can see from here?"
And indeed you see a great deal of the island...the forest, the clearing, all the way to the dock...and the magic tingles to the tips of your wings! You look around and see woodlands, mountains, lakes...other clearings, including...
You point. "There...I think they just came off the boat!"
