Our story begins one day in summer in the northern hemisphere. A couple days previously an asteroid was spotted on a collision course with Earth. This asteroid was determined to be a planet killer. No matter where it hit almost all life would be wiped out. This information wasn't made public but the elites quietly disappeared into underground bunkers that they had prepared for a day such as
this. The ordinary people went about their lives not knowing that their doom was fast approaching.
The asteroid however didn't hit Earth like it was expected to. Instead it broke up into millions of pieces as it approached. Some of those pieces entered into an orbit around Earth while others entered the atmosphere. Surprisingly those pieces never hit a single satellite or anything else in orbit.
Some of the pieces fell into the oceans of Earth while the rest were scattered all over the world. People would find them sooner or later. When they did they would find out that the pieces were strange. Those that found them right after they hit the ground were amazed that the pieces were cool to the touch. The pieces themselves looked like clear quartz crystal with swirls of pink and blue running through it.
When someone picked one up with their bare hand the crystal would glow and pulse in time with a strange voice that only the person holding the crystal could hear. The voice sounded like it was male and female, young and old at the same time. What it said was "Greetings Earthling, what you hold is a special crystal from our planet. This crystal has the power to transform your body. It can only change your age and gender and only once every 24 Earth hours. The crystal needs that time to recharge. It also bonded to you the moment that you picked it up. Do not worry. The crystal is not attached to you. The crystal will only work for you though you can transform someone who is holding it. The same rule about it
only changing age and gender once every 24 Earth hours applies to this situation. We are sure that you are wondering how to use this crystal. You simply hold it and speak the age and gender you wish to be. Know this though. You can not regress either yourself or someone else to the point of being in the womb of your females. You can regress to being what you Earthlings call a newborn baby. We realize
that you will not be able to speak at all in that situation. There is no need to worry about that. The crystal being bonded to you will understand your thoughts in that situation. If you wish to transform and the 24 Earth hours have passed you can summon the crystal by speaking 'Crystal in hand'. The crystal will immediately teleport itself to you. This crystal can not be broken or otherwise destroyed.
It is our sincere hope that your world will become a better place through the crystal's power."
As the people listen to the message they are oblivious to what is happening around them.
The people who find the alien crystals would soon learn that once the crystal had been used it would turn pure black. The crystal would regain it's clear with pink and blue swirls color when 24 hours had passed after it transformed someone.
They would also find out that the crystals can regrow lost limbs by regressing the person to an age before they lost the limb. The same with non-genetic diseases and even death. The effects of radiation can be reversed by the same method.
Now who finds one of the crystals?
(Please people, follow the outline for this story. That means limiting the transformations to age and gender. No body swapping, no changes in size unless it's part of an age and gender change. This means that you can't shrink anybody and have them stay the same age and gender. Keep the size changes reasonable in respect to the age and gender the character is changing to. No animal or part animal changes. No changing sizes of body parts unless it's part of the age
and gender change. The crystal can only be used once every 24 hours. That means that after the crystal changes someone that it will be black for 24 hours and can not be used during that time. The crystal will not lose it's power to transform people so they do not become stuck. The only exception to that is if someone who hasn't bonded with a crystal is transformed. They are at the mercy of those that
are bonded. The crystal can regrow lost limbs by regressing to an age before the limb was lost. The crystal can not do anything about genetic diseases but can cure non-genetic diseases like AIDS or the flu by regressing to an age before the disease was contracted. The crystal can even bring back the dead by regressing the body to an age before death. It can reverse the effects of radiation in the same manner. Other than that have fun with the story. I also encourage you to intertwine these story branches since there are many
crystals that fell to Earth. If you do I would suggest that you read the stories that are intertwined or being intertwined to make sure that they make sense.)
