You stop off at a discount store and quickly buy some clothes, then realize you have no idea of where to get a fake i.d.
Maybe it won't matter. After all, it really IS you on your driver's license, so it looks like you, and bars tend to be pretty dark anyway.
You park down the block and walk up to the bar, suddenly feeling as nervous as if you really were a sixteen year old trying to sneak into a bar and buy alcohol! You pause at a storefront next to the bar, draw a deep breath and look into the glass to check your appearance.
Could it be possible you've gotten even younger? No, it just must be nerves! Its gotta be!
A bouncer, who must weight at least 250lbs, is sitting on, and spilling over, a small stool next to the door, scowling at you as you approach.
"I.D.!" he demands, holding out his right hand, heavy duty flashlight in his left.
"Sure," you reply, holding out your wallet.
"Take it out of your wallet," he states wearily, hand still extended.
"Yeah, okay," you mutter, feeling nervous again, despite yourself. You hadn't expected him to be this thorough. In recent years they've just waved you through, and back in college they seemed to just give your license a casual glance.
The bouncer frowns at the license, holds the light closer and studies it.
"It's a real license all right..." he begins.
YES! You are going to get in!
"Is this your father?" he continues, staring straight at you, holding the license's picture toward you. The bouncer is frowning even more than earlier.
"N-no, that's me!" you protest, reaching for your license. He holds it up, out of your reach.
"Look, kid, this guy is obviously too old to be you. The license is real, so, therefore, you have stolen someone else's driver's license. Maybe your father's, maybe an older brother or cousin-- I don't know. Now, you can either leave the license with me, you walk away, and I'll mail it back to its owner, and you can pretend that this never happened-- or you can create a scene and I call the cops, you get arrested, the driver's license gets taken as evidence and your parents get to bail you out. Choice is yours, and either way I win."
