I woke up to my alarm the next morning, knowing that it would be my first day completely as Emily. I realized at once that I had wet the bed; my legs were drenched in urine. I realized that having an entirely rearranged reproductive system must have made me forget how to hold back me pee.
Fifteen minutes of cleaning later, I then hurried on - the selection day for the space program was today. Jessica's will had left me all of her possessions; her parents disapproved of her plan yet had agreed to allow me completely clear out her room, including clothing. It was in this clothing that I dressed; quickly learning how to wear a bra, panties, pantyhose, skirt and blouse, and I chose to wear a halter top - while I felt strange in a top with no sleeves, I knew that the more female the clothes were the easier I would be able to get used to being Emily and forget about my previous life.
Once I was ready, I headed off to the Space Academy, ready to hopefully begin my new life. As I walked, I plugged in Emily's memory drive into my Brain Computer Interface (BCI) and began transferring the information I would need in order to enter the Academy into my head. Though tempted to look more into Emily's memories, I refrained for the time being; I would only look into it if I needed it to do an everyday thing.
The transfer finished just as I walked through the doors. Being Selection Day, huge lines were behind the Administration desk, and large groups of about 100 at a time were brought in every 15 minutes. Having to stand without anything to do, I became subconscious of my new body. I began asking myself questions, such as; "do my boobs look alright? Do I look strange for a girl? Will I get found out?"
It didn't help that various guys around me were blatantly staring at them without caring what I thought. I sighed, yet after three quarters of an hour it was finally my turn. I followed the group into the waiting room. Every 10 seconds or so on average, another applicant was called up to be interviewed by one of the fifteen interviewers.
I quickly calculated that it would give me approximately 2 minutes to prove myself worthy of being one of the 50 selected people to be sent to the newly terraformed Mars. It was then, with shock, that I realized that Emily had not only given me her body, but had even somehow attained the data to make a Gen-Tech clone of her brain, making me just as intelligent as her while keeping my memories. I silently promised that I would fulfill both Emily and my own dream no matter what.
"Emily Ace," called out an interviewer. I walked nervously towards the counter. With that, I was asked to take a one minute test on the touchscreen. Emily's memories were clear and precise, and I was confident that I had gotten everything correct.
"How'd I go?" I asked, nervously. The interviewer kept a blank face.
"Blood sample, please," he requested. I held out my arm and his device shot into my arm, sucked out a small amount of blood, then retracted back to his computer.
"Infection free, allergy free... all good. Okay, you're allowed to continue on to stage two of the selection, which I too will conduct. Just head over there to that waiting room and I'll be with you and the others in 10 minutes."
I entered the room to find a group of 20 people or so, one or two of them pacing.
"Emily!" a girls voice screamed, and before I knew it I was hit by an excited sounding girl. In front of me was Jessica Anderson, another one of my previous classmates. After Emily, she was probably the hottest girl in the school; the one we had referred to as the other genius beauty. Blonde hair, tanned skin, a perfect body, a sexy face. Jessica was one of Emily's closest friends.
"How are you?" I asked, smiling.
"Good! I thought you weren't coming, you've been away from school for weeks!" she squealed.
"I was a bit sick, but got better just last week. Since then I've been catching up on lost time preparing for this!" I lied.
"Oh, no wonder! Well I think its almost time for the second stage, are you ready?"
