Reading the LCD screen, I see the words, 'Insert coin?'
Taking out my last quarter I drop it into the coin slot. Looking at the reading that says I have one wish left, I say to the wishing machine, "I wish I could know what it is like to grow up female."
A sense of vertigo washes over me and the room grows bigger. Just as I am about try and figure out what has just happened, a hand grasps my shoulder and voice from above me says, "Kids aren't allowed in here. Can't you read. No, I guess you cannot. You look to be about six."
Unsure of what is happening, listening to all that this man is ranting on about, I'm dragged across the shop and pushed out a door. Once outside, I look down and gasp at what I see.
I figure that I'm about five or six years old now. I'm now wearing a pair of one piece purple bib-overalls with eight pink heart shaped buttons sewn in place at different points. As I look at the white short sleeve shirt I'm wearing, memories flood in and I remember that I like Hello Kitty. So much that I'm wearing a Hello Kitty shirt and a pair of Hello Kitty panties.
Suddenly I hear from down the street, "Suzie. Suzie? Where'd you go? I told you not wander off."
Knowing that this is my mom, I run toward the sound of her voice, enjoying the sound my pink and white high tops make when they hit the concrete. Red hair dripping in front of my eyes, I rush up to mother and exclaim in a child's voice, "I'm wight here mama."
Taking my hand she tells me not to do that again or I can forget about my Hello Kitty birthday party. Being led home, I remember that today is my fifth birthday.

Somewhere up the street, unbeknownst to the mother and child, a shop owner pears out at the two. Seeing them walk away, he mutters to himself, "Next." Seeing two likely candidates for his magicks, he steps back into the shadows of the shop.
