"Let's follow that man," Carrie said. "I want to see what he does with that woman."
So, the young couple followed the man in the street sweepers uniform. Along the way, he stopped and retrieved other people that had gotten into a cartoonish
situation. A man trapped in a compactor and turned into a cube. A woman pulled into a piece of machinery and stretched like taffy. A boy that eat something really
hot and ended up a melted puddle. All went into the cart.
Finally, the man entered an out of the way building. John read the sign on the door. "ToonWorld Restoration Center. This must be where they take people to get
them back to normal. Let's go inside."
It turns out that they arrived just in time for a tour of the facility. They were showed how people, both visitor and residents of ToonWorld, sometimes had to have
help being restored from the various shapes and conditions they found themselves. They watched as several people were inflated, pressed, and/or squeezed back
into their normal shapes. In fact, they recognized several of the people they saw picked up on the street.
Carrie looked around the group of restored people carefully. "Hey! Where is she?"
"Who?" John asked.
"The woman we saw get run over and flattened outside the terminal. I don't see her anywhere."
John realized that she was right. He looked around some more and spotted her. "There she is," he said, pointing.
Carrie turned and spotted the woman...
