Trish decided to head back to the park. The two girls located a secluded spot between some large bushes and a forested area, well away from any prying eyes.
Trish inserted the new batteries in the remote and pressed the Power button. She gave a gleeful outburst as the LCD returns to life.
"It looks like our original settings are still saved in here, too," she said. "That's a relief."
"So what now?" Sam asked.
"Now, you go back to normal. You said it yourself, that look isn't you."
"Wow," Sam said, taken aback by Trish's kindness. "Wait...what will I have to do in return?"
"Change me," Trish smiled. "I want you to pick my Goth outfit. There's a bunch of patterns in here. Go to town. Just make it look like the fancy kind I gave you and not those Hot Topic kind of Goths you see around."
After Sam was changed back into her original non-Gothy, shorter-haired body, Trish waited patiently while Sam made her choices.
"Okay," Sam said. "You want Goth? You're gonna get Goth."
"Hit me," Trish said, throwing her arms wide in a mocking sacrificial pose.
One zap later, Trish's clothes were transformed into a swirling vortex similar to the one that enveloped Sam earlier.
Her bra and panties changed to black lacy versions of themselves, similar to what Sam had on. Next came a black undershirt that went down to her thighs. Black and red calf-length stockings appeared on her legs. Trish felt an elevated sensation as platform shoes grew on her feet. She nearly lost her balance, but the vortex of clothes that was restricting her movements aided her in that regard. Looking down, she saw that her feet now had a cute set of shiny black shoes. They were tongueless, with big round toes and one buckle that strapped them onto her feet where one would normally tie laces. Their flat platforms appeared to be four inches tall.
The vortex contracted and solidified into a black dress. It had a wide collar with red frills, puffy shoulders tied off at the arms with red ribbons, and elbow-length sleeves that flared out into wide rings of lace. The skirt portion of the dress was wide and fancy. It came down to just below her knees and contained several rows of frilly red bands. Each of these bands had red bows attached on the sides, making two columns. Furthermore, the bottom of the skirt ended in a layer of red frills which had even more ribbons, a total of eight encircling the circumference of the dress.
A red apron strapped itself around Trish, tying itself tight to her waist with a big red bow in the back.. It covered her chest and draped over the front of her dress in a large semi-circle. It was fancily decorated with red lace all around the semi-circle's edges, as well as the shoulder straps.
Red gloves covered her hands, with black lacy frills at the wrists. A black lace collar with two thin red bands circled her neck.
Trish's face gained color. Her cheeks became a little rosier, her eyes gained a dark eyeshadow, and her lips turned a deep red. Red cross earrings fastened to her ears.
Her hair darkened and bunched up into pretty black ringlets, which became tied in puffy pigtails with two big red bows. Just in front of these, a black headband with red frills sticking up out of it like a crown appeared.
The changes complete, Sam handed Trish the pocket mirror they had created with the remote. (She had purposely decided to keep it before Trish zapped away all of her Goth changes.) Trish examined her new Gothic Lolita appearance and let out a long, low gasp of admiration.
"Definitely not what I expected," she said after a moment of contemplation, "But I love it!" She gave Sam a big hug, feeling her dress crumple against her legs as she squeezed Sam's body. "Thank you so much! It's adorable!"
Sam simply patted her friend on the back. She hadn't been sure if Trish would love or hate it, and was rather surprised that it was going over so well.
"Okay, let's take a walk!" Trish said gleefully.
