Richelle:
"Well we'll have to doctor some documents" Friday said. "I need to know your name."
"Steven Harold Thornwall" Steven said.
Friday wrote this down on a notepad and then asked "And you?"
I guessed that he was talking to me so I said "Richard Michael O'Toole."
"Ok" Friday said as he wrote down my name. "Now I need to know what names you want to be known by."
"I already have a new name" I said. "Richelle Marie O'Toole."
"I don't want a new name" Steven said. "I like my name. I want to be male again."
"I'm afraid that we can't accommodate you on that" Friday said. "Not even surgery will help. The technology used makes it improbable."
"Can't you get the aliens to undo this?" Steven asked.
"The aliens ar probably long gone by now" Friday said.
"Can you get other aliens to help?" I asked.
"Unfortunately, if it's the type of technology that I think it is then only that machine that changed you can return you to what you were before" Friday said.
"So you're saying that we're stuck" I said.
"Yes" Friday said. "I am sorry about that."
"What happens to our daughters now?" Mom asked.
"Like I said, we'll change some documents" Friday said. "This will be just a part of their new lives."
"What will our new lives be like?" I asked.
"Your birth certificates will have your new names and gender on them" Friday said. "For Steven we'll make a note that she was born with a birth defect. This gave her horns and green hair."
"How will we explain our change to our friends?" I asked.
"We have a device that we'll use to replace their memories of you" Friday said.
"What about school?" Steven asked.
"You'll be in a private school with others that were changed by aliens" Friday said.
"What about our friends?" Steven asked.
"You'll still have your friends" Friday said. "The only thing that will be different is how you met."
"How are we suppose to pay for a private school?" Mrs. Thornwall asked.
"The school is funded by us" Friday said. "We hold some patents so we have plenty of funds. Plus we may ask Steven and Richelle to help us track down aliens. There are aliens that don't have our best interests at heart. Whether we ask them or not depends on what abilities they have. From what I've seen we'll probably use Richelle. Do you have any other powers Richelle?"
"Well I can teleport" I said. "If the aliens changed me like I think they did then I should be able to teleport anywhere in the world and take up to three people with me. Also I think that I'll be able to transform into a mermaid, a werewolf, a living Barbie doll, and a winged demon. I haven't tested if I can or not yet. I haven't even tested just how far I can teleport or how many people I can take
with me."
"Well we'll test the extent of your abilities" Friday said. "Now Steven, do you have any abilities?"
"The abilities that I know of right off hand are flying and emitting electrical energy" Steven said.
"Ok we'll probably use you too then" Friday said. "Now we can't keep calling you Steven. What name do you want?"
"I guess Stephanie Harriette Thornwall" Steven said.
"Ok" Friday said writing it down. "I'll go ahead and get things set up. You'll start at your new school tomorrow. If you want you can stay in the school's boarding rooms."
"So they won't be living at home anymore?" Mom asked.
"They can either live at the school or at home" Friday said. "It is a choice. If they live at the school they will be able to come home at any time they want."
"You could rent my room out Mom" Stephanie said. "That will help you out with money."
"Well I suppose I could do that" Mrs. Thornwall said. "I would miss you though."
"You can stay in touch" Friday said. "We like the students to be happy."
"Will we have to share a room with anyone?" I asked.
"The school does have double occupancy and single occupancy rooms" Friday said. "If you prefer to be by yourself we will accommodate you. If you want to room with someone we can accommodate you on that too. You can even specify who you want to room with."
"I think I'll wait and see what the school's like before I decide whether to stay there or not" I said.
"Me too" Stephanie said.
Suddenly Nash groaned and sat up. He looked around and asked "What happened?"
"You were knocked out" Friday said.
"They must all be aliens!" Nash said. "No human could do that!"
"Those two were changed by aliens" Friday said. "I've taken care of the situation while you were out."
"You didn't tag them though" Nash said.
"There was no need" Friday said. "They weren't trying to go anywhere and they weren't doing anything wrong."
"The one attacked me!" Nash said.
"You had drawn your Tagger on her friend" Friday said. "You didn't put it away even when I drew my Tagger on you. She acted so I didn't have to risk killing you."
"She still attacked me" Nash said. "She needs to be taken in."
"You had drawn your Tagger without just cause" Friday said. "Now there's no need for me to put that in the report. If you insist on trying to make a case I'll have no choice but to put it in."
"She attacked me and I will mention that" Nash said.
"Get in the car" Friday said in a menacing voice.
Nash apparently took the hint as he got in the car. Though I could see that he wasn't happy. I started to wonder if we'd see Nash again.
"I'll get things taken care of" Friday said. "I'll personally pick both of you up tomorrow. Do not go with anybody else." He got in and drove off.
"So what do you want to do now?" Stephanie asked.
