You know Dirk won't let you exist as a human, if he can help it. So you have to deal with him before he finds out that you are no longer inanimate.
You head over to Dirk's, and peek through the windows. Dirk is washing his new dog Luke in the bathtub while Luke licks his master. You sneak over to the porchlight, and make some adjustments to the symbol that you copied from the locker. You tear out the sheet with the drawing on it, and then head back around. You make sure that Dirk is preoccupied in the bathroom, and you try the front door. It's unlocked. You take off your shoes, and tiptoe into the bedroom.
You can hear Dirk's voice coming from the bathroom, "Who's my good boy? You're my dog, aren't you? Yes, you are. You're mine, Luke, all mine. You know who your master is, don't you boy?"
There's a bark of assent.
"Yes, you do. Yes, you do. I am your master, Luke. I own you. You'd do anything for me, wouldn't you?"
More barking.
"Hold still boy, I need to finish scrubbing away any traces of humanity before I can make you my bitch permanently," Dirk says.
You hear the water splashing and barking. Maybe the dog has detected your presence.
"Hold still."
You quickly deposit the drawing underneath Dirk's bed, and then you hightail it out of there. You grab your shoes, and let the door slam behind you.
"Hey, what was that?" Dirk gets up to investigate. He shrugs, no one is there. Nothing is out of place. It must have been next door.
He returns to his dog, "There's nothing to worry about, Luke. Let's get you blow dried, Lukey."
You head to an all night diner for what you hope is not your last meal. At dawn, you're back at Dirk's place watching the moon set, and watching Dirk sleeping in bed with his dog Luke. He tosses and turns. You see an ethereal light glow from under the bed. Your drawing is working, hopefully the way you intend. You try the front door, it's locked now. You go around until you find an open window, and you climb through.
You watch as Dirk's body twitches as if in a seizure. He's breathing harder and harder. His abdomen flattens as he gasps for air. You grin as the color drains from his skin. It's Dirk's turn to be a garment.
Luke the dog sits up in bed, and starts barking. He's confused.
"Heel, Luke!" you order and he jumps off the bed and heels at your feet. You grin, "Looks like, I'm your master now, Luke. Right?"
Luke looks up perplexed, but bark's in agreement. You're his master now.
