You look at the poster and almost giggle at the sight of the image. It's a poster that is advertising Angelina Ballerina on ice. Thinking that your safe, you duck out of the zoo and head for home.
There you head for your room, strip and lie down on the bed, thinking to yourself, "I'm safe now. The stupid parrot didn't get what it wanted and I didn't turn into any animal. I'm safe and there's nothing I can change into because I didn't see any animals."
Telling yourself this over and over, you drift off to sleep. Then you are awakened by someone gently shaking you and telling you, "Angelina, it's time to get up. You have ballet practice in a bit."
Muttering sleepy nonsense, not fully understanding why you being called Angeline, you get up and without really thinking about, begin to adjust your dress. It is only when you spy the mirror and what's reflected in it, that you stop what your doing.
Reflected back is a young mouse with white fur and standing on digigrade paws. The sight of the white sundress and pink bow in your fur confirms that you are indeed female. Telling yourself over and over, "No, no, no. Not Angelina Ballerina," you skip out of the room, failing to notice that your skipping, and into the room where your mother is.
Shifting about, you asks her as you stand on the tip of your toes, "Mama, can we go to the zoo after practice?"
Your mother agrees and you jump up in the air with delight. "If I can get back to the zoo and find the parrot, maybe I can get him to change me back," you tell yourself as you prance down the hall; again, failing to see how your acting.
