Jenny panicked, she’d heard so many stories about the effects of the curse and picked what she hoped was the safer option.
“Dare” she said, rubbing her head nervously.
“Ok,” Kyle responded simply. “I’ve always liked those cheerleading moves you do, you know the one when you get thrown in the air and then do the splits and the squad catch you like that?”
“Uh-huh” Jenny said, she couldn’t believe she was going along with this.
“Well I dare you to do the splits for the rest of your life, with your legs spread as far apart as they’ll go and your toes pointed. You’ll be perfectly comfortable like this but you’ll be unable to stop. Good luck keeping your dignity. Oh and you’ll forget this conversation.”
The line went dead.
Jenny blinked.
“Hello?” she said, the phone beeped.
“Huh, I’m sure I heard the phone ring...” she said to herself as she hung up and headed back into her room to find the rest of her outfit.
Suddenly she felt a strange tingling in her legs and a rapidly spreading numbing sensation, “wow, I don’t feel too good.”
