Keula having been listening closely to the two newbie team members gives a greeting howl and quickly moves over between the two. Three other large malamutes follow along behind Keula looking to be either his offspring or fairly young dogs by how eager they seem to please the elder malamute.
“Been looking for you two. Can not sleep?” he asks leaning forward to lick and rubs muzzles first with Amber then Bryan. Knowing sleeping will help strengthen the canine forms these two now wear.
“We where just talking Keula.” Bryan replies following the lead of the other malamutes as he slips into a submissive stance before Keula instinctively without thought.
“Bryan said I was once a furless creature like he use to be.” Amber adds anger scent still strong about her. Having only recently learned human are not to be bitten she rebels at the very idea she could ever have been one of those weak things called man. But yet some part of her does still question confused on why Bryan thinks he has always been a dog.
Keula growls openly at this as his hackles raise causing all but Amber to cringe and tuck tails. “Iiumni been telling stories again?” he replies forcing himself into a calm state even as he feels the instinctive need for sinking his fang into something.
“But Keula I say....” Amber starts to reply till cut off by Keula.
“Amber.” Keula half growls reaching forward to rub his nose along her muzzle. “We malamutes must be true to our pack. Our family.”
“What did you see Amber?” Bryan asks softly giving himself a shake as he tries to be more assertive even as he feels a strong desire to be submissive and pleasing toward Keula.
“You walked into our camp....” the bitch trails off as her nose takes in the strong musky scent of Keula.
“He padded into our camp lost and hungry Amber. We needed another dog so we greeted and welcomed him into our own pack.” Keula intones in a soft howl voice. “Do you not remember thinking what a fine tail he had Amber?”
Amber feeling confused licks softly at the alpha then blinks giving her head a shake even as she feels the instivtive need to follow another. “Yes he does have a cute tail....” she trails off laying down her muzzle before Keula.
“Its time to dig yourself a sleeping place beneath the snow Amber.” Keula tells the bitch nudging her a bit while the young male malamutes creep forward and each give a low howl pointing muzzles to the stars.
“Is that why I could not sleep? Because I did not know to dig in the snow to make a sleeping place?” Bryan asks standing up and finding himself to be just as big as Keula.
“Yes Bryan, you must have came from an indoor kennel and just never had to sleep outside before.” Keula replies while Amber gives a few licks to the underside of his muzzle showing her follower status to the alpha male. Even as the younger males crowd close to Keula trying to rub against their leader tails wagging happily at know their place in the pack.
“But...” Bryan trails off watching Amber and the other malamutes around Keula as he thinks of what Amber said.
“Iiumni has been trying to cause trouble for the team Bryan. He does not think I am a good lead dog.” Keula intones as he lifts his tail high looking to Bryan for signs of submission or challenge. “Just not sure what to do with that husky.”
