Josh looks at the door before them, which leads into a dimly lit tunnel, considerably larger than the one they have just left. "So, you've changed your mind about the petting zoo, huh?" he says.
Marie looks back at him, nodding. "Uh, yeah. The smell isn't so bad, after all", she says, though she seems less convinced.
As they step into the tunnel, the main gate's recorded bray seems to resound through it. "Cripes, they have another of those sound-things here?" says Marie.
"Sound-things?"
"Yes, you know," she gestures, somewhat incoherently. "The things that sound out. Loud."
"Speakers," he says, and chuckles. "You mean speakers."
She frowns. "Yeah, that's what I said. Speak-things."
He chuckles again and shakes his head. "You have a weird sense of..."
"Humor?"
He nods, though he's not sure of what he was about to say.
"You and I both", she says. The bray resounds again, echoing through the tunnel. "First it smells like animals, then it sounds like animals. The fun just never stops," she says - and Josh can't make out whether she's sarcastic or serious. Then she motions Josh to follow her. "Come on, I wanna see where this tunnel ends."
"Me too." I wanna see where the smell comes from, he thinks. It will be fun. He's sure of that, but he has no idea why.
