Kent and Ty looked on, as Peter flew across the sky in his Superman
suit. He was looping through the air and ascending high above the
ground, before making sharp dives towards his friends on the ground.
Finally, he landed before them, with a wide grin on his face, with
his long, red cape billowing behind him.
“You know, I still can’t get used to Peter looking like a grownup…”
Ty mumbled. “I’m not used to seeing Peter older than me like that…”
“Oh, I see what you mean…” Ken replied. “I can still change him,
right?”
“Of course!” Ty said. “He’ll still have his powers and his costume!”
Then all three boys heard a familiar voice coming from behind them.
“Well, well… What have we here? Peter looks like Superman now?”
Ty turned around and recognized the mighty wizard in the dark suit.
“Prince!” he gasped.
“Ty! Kent! And Peter… What a nice costume you’re wearing, Peter!”
Prince grinned. “I like the cape… It fits you well… Whose idea was
that?”
“M-m-mine…” Kent stuttered. “I’ll change him back to normal…”
“No, my dear Kent…” Prince smiled. “I like it! Very original
transformation… Changing Peter into Superman? And you have him super
powers, too?”
“I did that, Master Prince!” Ty replied.
Prince turned and stared at Peter for a moment, with a smile on his
face. Then he extended his hand and allowed a bolt of energy to
strike Peter’s body, engulfing him in a blue glow for a brief moment.
“What did you do to him?” Kent wondered.
“I made it permanent. I’m the only one who can remove the powers and
his costume now. Furthermore, he has no weaknesses, either. So…”
Prince said, as he turned to face Peter. “Enjoy life as a super hero,
my friend! Ty and Kent can only change your size and your age, and
your costume will change with you.”
Then prince disappeared.
“Oh wow! Sounds like you’re gonna be like this for awhile, cousin!”
Ty chuckled, as he patted Peter on the back.
“Yay! Prince really liked what I did to you!” Kent grinned. “Now, I
think I’ll make you a few years younger, okay?”
Slowly, Peter started to shrink. His face regained a more youthful
appearance as his legs shrunk down a bit and his arms became a few
inches shorter. He still remained just as muscular, but he lost a few
inches in height. Within a few seconds, Peter regressed back to 15
years old, but he still had his Superman costume and his long, red
cape draped over his broad shoulders.
“There! Now he looks like the old Peter again… except for the fact
that he’s Superboy now!” Ty laughed.
“Well, like Master Prince said, I guess it’s permanent…” the new
Superboy shrugged. “I’d better start my first patrol and fly around
the city…”
“Have fun, cousin… See ya tonight for dinner!” Ty said, as he gave
his super-cousin a high-five.
“You look great! Well, catch some bad guys for me, okay?” Kent
grinned.
Then Ty and Kent walked home as Peter took off and began his first
patrol over the city as the new Superboy.
In the meantime, Kent and Ty began to wonder if they didn’t want to
join Peter in his adventures as super heroes as well.
