The humanoid male fox whispered to the kitesune, "So Keiko, what if just sent Jennifer an
aura triggered 'greeting card' and-"
"-Later- Akira -later-. Focus on the task at -hand-! I know being focused isn't very
kitesune like, but we can make up for it with some random fun and games when we're
back home."
"Okay." Akira nodded this time being fully sincere.
The four muscle toned fighting machines looked at Janice, their sister and superior in
slight confusion. They knew Janice and Tabra shared the same body of course, but it still
felt odd hearing her have a discussion with herself. The foursome felt a slight hint of
dismay at what Janice was saying, but they knew better than to interfere with her own
discussion.
Tabra was strangely reluctant in answering Janice, actually it was more like a thought
Tabra thought and Janice heard sharing the same brain. 'The whole is greater than the
sum of it's parts, and she'll actually have both our memories at her disposal. Basically we'll
fill in each other's gaps.'
'But what about -her-?'
'She'll be born in the most unfair way possible, with aspects of herself decided for her
before she's even born. She'll have our experience to draw on, but by no means or stretch
of the imagination will she -be- us.'
'Can we trust it to a stranger then?'
'Janice, if you've learned even one thing in your time with us being a part of each other,
please tell me, you've learned that there are times when you just have to risk trusting
someone. Oh, and just so we can clear, I don't -want- to die anymore than you do.'
'My sisters just gave up most of themselves to save our siblings who aren't even
-remotely- themselves. Yes, I know, 'what is self?'' But at least, they'll be by our choices.'
'I've already thought about what message I want her to give Michel and the rest of my
'brothers' when she first meets him. You?'
'I heard... being a messenger of free will... one part of you I haven't figured out is why you
accepted that role.'
'Easy. I figured it would put me where I could understand humans the best. I wanted to
understand. That's someone Julio and myself have in common in a way at least. So what
shall she tell your friends and family?'
'That I love them, that I've always loved them, and to accept my sisters as family too if
they'll have them. Oh, and to tell dad that I think I'd appreciate watching Deep Space Nine
with him now. And Maggie she's the cutest woman I've ever met.'
'You can still tell her that yourself.'
'Do it before I can change my mind please.'
'Someone else said something like that two thousand years ago.'
'I know. Do it.'
'Good as done.'
Janice/Tabra willed a sword into existence, and used it to draw a circle around them in the
sand, then stabbed the weapon into the ground at the center. They sat down and assumed
a yoga pose and nodded their head at the cross shaped hilt.
Tabra, Tabris, his alias from before was Tabris. Tabra held Janice's mental hand, whose
name before was Jake, and carefully undid the safety net installed to keep their egos
separate. Then, together, they set off the triggers Julio had installed to cause the fusion to
happen in a sane manner. Thankfully Jasmine was none too focused on the fusion of these
two spirits to even remotely guess or piece together Julio's part in things.
Tabris. Creation of space/time. Mike. Luc'. -Betrayal!- War. Duty. Pain. Survival. Not a 'cold
war.' Purpose. Messenger. Free will. Birth, Death, and Resurrection of the Redeemer.
Illusions on top of illusions. Truth buried deeper and deeper. Peel back the illusions to find
the truth. No more lies. Another betrayal. Protect Free Will at all costs. Tabra. Janice.
Tabra/Janice.
Jake. Mom. Dad. Superman. Star Trek Next Generation. High School. Good grades. Maria.
Different truths. Truths divided. See ya Maria. Even better grades! Collage. Accepted.
Maggie. Cute laugh. Graduation! Job accepted! What the heck?! Karther. Janice. Only
Janice. Master-Master-Master. Tommy? Tammie. FREE. Tammia. Tamthis. T'. Tabra?
Outwardly to mundane eyes the show wasn't a show at all, merely the fox woman sitting
down one moment, then starting and slowly reopening her eyes the next.
To ones with spiritual senses, the two overlapping auras that had existed over this
mundane frame all this time now melded. It was like two liquids being held in the same
glass being separated by a thin sheet of material, which was now pulled away, they
splashed into other each, mixed, mingled, becoming something new and different.
'Who are we? Who am I?'
'Tabra? Jack? Tabris? Janice? TabraJackTabrisJanice? Tabrajacktabrisjanice? Tabra-Jack-
Tabris-Janice? I-. I girl. I female. Tabra-Janice? Which? Both? Neither?'
The fox angel looked at her four sisters present, and made a quick glance at Jasmine, and
at her two other siblings over her shoulder.
Most fiction writers like to have the idea of having such fused entities choosing names
based on their originals. While there is some logic in this. In the actual situation here, it
was different. Neither side of traits was truly dominant over the other, thus neither could
reasonably have their segment first. Her name, would have to be it's own.
