"Eric! You almost ready? You promised you'd go shopping with me today!" The voice of his girlfriend, Linny, carried over the sound of the shower, and Eric began to panic slightly.
Unable to keep the tremble out of his voice he shouted back, "Just a sec! Still have shampoo in my hair!" He was surprised by his voice, it was deeper than before. He began to wipe off the wall, and quickly clean himself up.
"Are you alright? Your voice sounds strange, you're not sick are you?" The voice carried true concern, Eric couldn't help but smile. He had gotten lucky with his girlfriend, she was sweet and loving, and her body wasn't bad either, lush blonde hair and curved to die for. She wasn't as petite as some women, but she was perfect for him. He joined the medical study in order to get money to buy her an engagement ring.
Eric turned off the shower with a sigh, he tried to steady his voice. "No, I'm not alright, I'm not bad but... listen.." He explained about the clinical trials and the injection through the door, leaving out the reason he wanted the money. She had trouble believing him about it changing his body.
"Listen, I know it's you, just come out of the bathroom and we can work this out face to face." Eric opened the door and heard her gasp, seeing the shock on her face made him all the more nervous.
